Bot on tools-login

Thanks for letting me know - I was not aware of the grid option. I changed things accordingly. However, I encounter an error with memory allocation when trying to run cmd.sh:

cmd.err: Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

cmd.out: Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for object heap

Earlier I had no problem running the program (which is written in java).

Please let me know how to proceed.

What I tried so far: playing around with the memory parameters: limiting the java VM memory usage to 256M and setting the allocated memory by jstart to 512M, it didn't seem to help either. -Lkozma

I haven't used Java myself on Tools, but I hear it's very memory hungry. So I would add another 256 MByte to the VM memory, set the requested memory to that + 256 MByte and repeat that process until it works. Don't be too shy, it can easily be that you will need to request one or two GBytes to make your Java application run, and that's okay. --Tim Landscheidt (talk) 00:54, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
